Coastal Living: How can you make a new garden quickly look well-established?

Margie Grace: If you want multiples of one kind of plant, buy a few that are mature and put those where they’ll have the most impact while you wait for the rest to grow. Trick number two is to plant short-lived things in the meantime, like wildflowers, to fill in those temporary empty spaces, and let them fade out naturally without having to replant.
